About The Great Gatsby
Following a smash hit series in Sydney and Melbourne, BIG Live’s The Great Gatsby arrives at The Esplanade Theatre for a limited season before embarking on its European Tour!
This dazzling Asia premiere reimagines F. Scott Fitzgerald’s timeless classic with full theatrical spectacle. Directed and choreographed by Joel Burke, Gatsby’s story is brought to life like never before.
The score blends Gershwin’s ‘Rhapsody in Blue’, James P. Johnson’s ‘The Charleston’, and bold new works by Emmy award-winning Jason Fernandez as well as Dominic Cabusi.
On stage, our dancers deliver a genre-defying fusion of ballet and jazz. Expect nothing less than breathtaking choreography, bedazzled costumes, spectacular sets, and the glitz and glamour of one of the most famous stories of all time.
