Abbey Hansen

Abbey Hansen is a Principal Dancer with BIG Live. Born in Brisbane in 2002, Abbey began her ballet training at the age of 8 at a local dance school before being accepted into The Australian Ballet School, where she trained for three years.

After completing her studies, Abbey returned to Brisbane to join BIG Live, touring nationally with every Ballet International Gala series.

She has since performed leading roles across BIG Live’s productions, including Mina in Dracula and the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker (2023 and 2024). Abbey has also been partnered by Joel Burke in Le Corsaire and La Fille Mal Gardée pas de deux, and most notably danced alongside Daniil Simkin as the Prince during the 2023 Nutcracker season at Melbourne’s Hamer Hall.
