Amber Lily Mitchell-Knight is a Company Artist with BIG Live. Born in Perth, Australia in 2003, Amber began dancing at the age of 2 growing up in Sydney. She completed all RAD examinations from Pre-Primary to Solo Seal with High Distinctions, before commencing full-time training at Classical Ballet 121 at age 14 under the directorship of Gillian Revie. From age 15, Amber trained at the National Ballet School Melbourne under Damian Smith, where she completed her Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance). She is a Genee 2019 Bursary semi-finalist, Fonteyn 2021 Finalist and Audience Choice Award Winner, the Kathleen Gorham Most Outstanding Student in 2020 and 2021, the Jean Stewart Scholarship recipient in 2019, 2020 and 2021, and a YAGP Top 12 Finalist in 2021. Amber was a Queensland Ballet Young Artist in 2022 and a Company Artist with Queensland Ballet from 2023 to 2025, performing soloist roles in Coco Chanel, Manon and Strictly Gershwin, as well as a soloist role at the Next Generation Festival at the Royal Opera House in London, and a guest performance on Hayman Island. Amber performed with BIG Live’s 2025 Nutcracker season and joined the company as a Company Artist in 2026.
